It started in 2012 when Filipiniana Too begun holding its Customer Appreciation Day during its anniversary. In their recently concluded second year celebration, they certainly surpassed the number of customers who attended the event last year. People came pouring in when the restaurant opened at 10am on Nov. 1st. . The buffet was 2-dollar less than its regular price with free drinks (who can say no to that deal eh?). And to top that one off, first One Hundred customers were given gift merchandise and an hourly raffle was done the whole day.
It was like another “Pista” once again when group of Pinoys would come in an event like this. Everyone is eager to mingle and meet new friends. Non-stop videoke singing, continuous flow of food, fun and photo taking spree… to name some of the fun activities that made that day shone brighter. Sabi nga nila, “sa Pagkain at Kantahan walang tatalo sa Pinoy!”
And they also have this new thing in the restaurant called “I was here” board. It’s like a freedom wall of some sort where you write anything but advertisements. You can sign, put message on it, doodle if you want and the like. And you can take a picture of yourself and post them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or whatever social media you have under your name. But please don’t forget to hashtag your pictures with #iwashereatfilipinianatoo. Online contest will soon be launched with this kind of theme, watch out for that!
This place definitely won the hearts of most Filipinos (if not all) and some non-Pinoys in Houston. The reason why Pinoys love this buffet restaurant is because their food really tastes homemade and has this authentic Filipino taste that only true blooded Pinoy can tell. Their staples like Caldereta, KareKare, Dinuguan and Sinigang are just few of the dishes they cook best and these keep people on coming back each week.
Thanks for friendship, love, support and patronage for the past 3 years and counting…Maraming Salamat po! 🙂
